This beautiful soft handwoven scarf features a combination of natural and botanical dyed commercial and handspun yarns. The plants used as dyes in this piece were blackberry, black bean and Indigo. It took 10 hours to weave with a mix of wool and alpaca warp threads and natural grey alapaca weft threads.

The scarf measures 22cm wide, 172cm long and weighs approximately 139 grams.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

I recommend hand washing in cool water with pH neutral wool wash. Do not soak for more than 15 minutes and lay flat over a clothes rack to dry. Never throw in the washing machine or dryer, it will shrink.

When not in use, store folded in a dark draw to prolong the vibrancy of the botanical colour. I would also recommend storing it alongside a moth deterrent such as cedar wood blocks or herb sachet since natural fibres are tasty to a few naughty pests.
