About Pinky

Oh Hi there! I’m Pinky, a rather bubbly artist living and working in Wodonga, Regional Victoria, not far from the banks of the beautiful Milawa Billa / Murray River.

Studying a masters in Graphic communication, Multimedia, visual arts, Millinery and Costume for theatre rooted me firmly in the arts and instilled my undying passion for multidisciplinary practice. I started in industry as a Graphic Artist for a software company and then moved into teaching at Wodonga TAFE where I developed a love for tutoring and a desire to teach creative skills to our broader community. I’m a country girl and have always lived in regional Australia and as I get older, I’m keen to advocate for developing regional arts. I currently have the privilege of work for MAMA Albury and The Pumphouse as well as maintaining my art practice as a ceramicist and illustrator.

I grew up in the bush on Worimi country / Great lakes, Mid-north Coast NSW. I feel my most grounded in the bush and I am often inspired by it or seek natural materials to use in my art practice. This fascination for natural materials ignited by my passion for historical research into the art practices of our distant ancestors. You’ll often find me down a rabbit hole investigating ancient textile fragments and pottery thousands of years old pondering their long lost stories.

I am neurodivergent and incredibly passionate about visual arts due to it’s ability in transcending disabilities, language and time to communicate to one another as humans.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Stay creative beautiful people,

-Pinky xox
